Hi Team
Green School Bali is now following the US Centers for Disease Control Travel Notice. Please use this website for country-specific information regarding travel to other countries – including the up-to-date ‘levels’ of all countries.
The UK Travel Advisory previously followed has been withdrawn by the UK Government as of March 13. Please be aware that the numerical scale (Level 1, Level 2, etc) for the US Centers for Disease Control Travel Notice is in opposite order of severity from the previously referenced UK Government Scale.
If a faculty member travels to a Level 3 country from today onwards, GSB will require an unpaid 14 day self-quarantine (if any of those mandatory self-quarantine days would otherwise be official working days) upon arrival back in Bali.
If a faculty member travels to a Level 2 or Level 1 country, GSB will allow you to return to work immediately, however, should you have a fever of 38C or higher or a cough or shortness of breath, we will require that you self-quarantine until all symptoms have subsided and you have been afebrile (without a fever) for at least 24 hours. This would be paid sick leave.
If you have traveled to a Level 2 or 1 country and it moves into Level 3, GSB will require a 14-day self-quarantine upon arrival back in Bali. This would be paid sick leave.
If you are unable to return to Bali due to travel restrictions when GSB reopens, GSB will not pay you for the days missed.
Our holiday break is scheduled from March 20 to April 6. Regardless of where you travel to in these upcoming holidays, all faculty are expected to be back for work on April 6 and to not have have put themselves in a situation where self-quarantine is required. Please carefully consider departure and arrival dates. A lengthy self-quarantine would add a significant strain on your peer’s teaching and coverage load – not to mention the impact on student learning.
We are asking for all faculty to complete this travel survey – this will help us be better at helping you.
Thank you for your assistance and understanding.
