It’s always a boost of energy to get the faculty back together to get ready for the new year. Everybody is refreshed, full of adventurous, hilarious and heart warming stories and bursting with new ideas for their courses. This adrenalized enthusiasm is one of the main reasons we like to say that we never want to define more than 70% of the learning program. We want to be able to incorporate new ideas, new expertise, and new perspectives into the wonderful programs we already have.
One example of this ‘pushing the envelop’ atmosphere was overhead at the lunch tables when Pak Noan was quoted as saying: “Pak Kyle wants the class to have a foundational math focus, but I kind of want to redesign society”.
The world’s your oyster, Pak Noan!
