After thorough discussions – with the Health and Safety Committee and the Heads of LN – we have decided that there should be no ‘learning activities’ near/in the Ayung River. At present, the river looks gentle and inviting – but ‘now that the wet-season has begun’ we know from experience that the height of the river changes very quickly and the flow increases significantly (neither of which we can predict or be forewarned).

I understand this may disappoint some people in our community – however, so as to safe-guard our children, we all need to be aligned with this decision.
